GENA Screen

AI-Driven Clinical Decision Support for Genetic Diseases

Empowering clinicians with accurate, real-time decision support to improve patient outcomes and reduce unnecessary testing costs.

What is GENA Screen?

GENA Screen is GENA Africa’s pre‑diagnostic clinical decision‑support platform, built to help African healthcare providers quickly determine when genetic testing is medically appropriate. Using advanced AI and a curated clinical knowledge base, GENA Screen evaluates patient symptoms, family history, and chronic disease indicators to guide clinicians toward the right diagnostic pathway.

By delivering fast, clear, and actionable recommendations, GENA Screen strengthens frontline care, supports early detection, and enables more personalized treatment across Africa’s health systems.

How GENA Screen Works:

1

Enter Patient Symptoms

While GENA’s roots are in genomics, our platform extends far beyond genetic testing. We are building a data-driven ecosystem designed to aggregate and analyze multi-domain health data, with applications in pharmaceuticals, insurance, healthcare systems, and research. Our AI-driven insights empower healthcare providers with the data needed to make faster, more informed decisions.

AI-Powered Analysis

GENA Screen’s advanced AI analyzes the entered symptoms, cross-referencing with medical databases to match potential genetic markers. This process quickly narrows down relevant conditions for a precise recommendation.

2

3

Genetic Test Recommendation

Based on the analysis, GENA Screen provides a clear Yes/No recommendation on whether genetic testing is necessary.

Order the Test

If a test is recommended, clinicians can order it directly through GENA Screen. The test order is sent to an assigned lab partner, which dispatches a test kit to the practice, streamlining the testing process.

4

5

Track Case Progress

GENA Screen provides real-time updates, tracking each stage of the testing journey from kit dispatch to lab processing, so clinicians stay informed every step of the way.

Use Case Examples

Primary Care Decision Support

In primary care settings, GENA Screen enables providers to explore possible genetic conditions based off of symptoms and make informed decisions about the need for genetic testing, streamlining patient care.

Rural Healthcare Efficiency

Unlike traditional genetic testing that only provide a snapshot, GENA Screen allows for the testing to have direction, reducing reliance on specialist referrals which may result in additional travel or financial strain for your patients.

Now Accepting Pilot Affiliates

GENA Africa is inviting a select group of physicians to participate in the pilot phase of GENA Screen. As a pilot affiliate, you will receive complimentary access to the platform in exchange for your insights on usability, workflow integration, and clinical impact.

If you are committed to advancing innovative care and shaping the future of genomic‑driven medicine across Africa, we would be honored to have you join this pioneering cohort.

GENOMIC TESTING FOR A HEALTHIER FUTURE

GENOMIC TESTING FOR A HEALTHIER FUTURE

Why Choose a GENA™ Test?

Unlike traditional genetic tests that only provide a snapshot, GENA™ testing offers geneticists a comprehensive health blueprint for your patients. It’s both a diagnostic tool for current conditions and a predictive guide for future gene-based predispositions. With GENA™, you can timestamp a patient's health today, giving you a reference point to better understand changes in their health as new symptoms arise.
